Lewes and Rehoboth real estate market conditions are favorable for buyers. Sussex County, DE inventory is still high (although less than its peak in 2008). Lewes, Rehoboth Beach, Milton and Millsboro sellers are still competing against short sales and foreclosures in their neighborhoods which are priced well "under market" for certain (but not all) market segments.
Hiring a top Lewes real estate agent to sell your property in the current market is more important than ever. With fewer qualified buyers, you want a Delaware real estate agent with a proven track record to sell your property. While price is still THE most important factor when selling your property, representation by a top realtor will greatly improve your odds.
Having fewer buyers also means that your property needs to look good the first time it is viewed. With so much competition in the real estate market, it's harder than ever to sell a fixer upper. We encourage all our sellers to make their property as desirable as possible by presenting it in the best possible light. To prepare your property for sale, it's important to consider the following items:
- Does it need minor repairs?
- Could it use a new coat of paint, indoors or out?
- Does the landscaping need to be updated or spruced up?
- Most importantly, is the property priced competitively?
