Still Haven't Found What You're Looking For?
Maybe it's time to look at land.
Has your home search left you feeling like Bono and U2...singing "Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For"? Don't despair!
Our Delaware Beach communities have an attractive inventory of existing homes – some historic and distinguished, some that may need customization for new buyers’ tastes, and others that are brand new. Still, if you are a discriminating buyer that just hasn’t found “The One,” you may be pleasantly surprised by the lots and land available throughout the beach communities – in town, in neighborhoods, waterfront, secluded, you name it!
As the National Association of REALTORS reported last month, home sales rose to their highest levels in 8 years, signaling a brisk economic upturn and a following potential shortfall in the inventory of homes on the market for sale. (See articles in The Wall Street Journal and Reuters for more information, too.)
Regardless of the reasons behind it, if you can’t find the perfect house for you, there’s merit in building one for yourself! Building lots offer several advantages over new/existing homes:
- Customization/building new to suit your preferences
- Flexibility for more home styles and sizes – you are not constrained by what’s already there
- Larger square footage for your home, if desired
- Availability of building lots all over town – from rural areas to in-town neighborhoods to the beach!
So if you haven’t found quite the dream home for you, consider building one!
